Chairman

Bradford Holland, MD FACS has practiced in Waco, Texas for 14 years. Originally from Colorado, he attended CU-Boulder as a Boettcher Scholar, where he graduated with high honors as the top student in Biochemistry, and then UT-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he was inducted into AOA. His general surgery internship was done at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and residency at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Holland is Chairman of TEXPAC this year, and has served as McLennan County Medical Society President in the past. He is also Secretary of the Texas Association of Otolaryngology. He is married to Amanda Crites Holland, and has 4 children. He enjoys politics, hunting and winter sports, collecting surgical antiques, and music of all kinds.

Co-Chairman

Dr. Grisel completed undergraduate training in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then finished medical school at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Grisel was inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated with honors. He then completed his residency training at the University of Cincinnati - Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He has been practicing with Head and Neck Surgical Associates in Wichita Falls, TX since July, 2011.

Dr. Grisel is also the Co-Founder of the Auditory Implant Initiative and developed a cloud-based, clinical outcomes database for patients with cochlear implants. He is past President of the Texas Association of Otolaryngology, and a graduate of the TMA’s Leadership College.

Immediate Past Chair

Dr. Gerald Callas is secretary of Anesthesia Associates in Beaumont Texas and has been a member of the Texas Medical Association since 1998. He is currently the Chairman of the Texas Medical Association’s Council on Legislation. He serves as an Alternate Delegate on the TMA’s Delegation to the AMA. He is Past President of the Jefferson County Medical Society, Past Chairman of the Small Districts Caucus and a current member of the TEXPAC Board of Directors, and Speaker of the House of Delegates of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Callas graduated and completed his residency program from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His wife is Lisa Ann Callas, and they have 3 daughters.

Vice-Chair

Dr. Lenore DePagter practices Acute Care and Occupational Medicine, and is originally from the Rio Grande Valley. A recipient of the Tomas Rivera Scholarship for Latino Students, she attended Texas State University San Marcos with the original intent to study music. After a family member was affected by coronary artery disease, she changed to a pre-medical emphasis and went on to finish an undergraduate degree in biology. Dr. DePagter has a medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Scott & White Memorial Hospital. She is past President of the Hays-Blanco-Caldwell (TriCounty) Medical Society. She has served on numerous councils and committees within TMA and is past president of the Young Physicians Section of the TMA. She is also a graduate of the TMA Leadership College. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and their twin children.
